What happened: The Carolina Panthers dismissed defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero following a 27-19 loss to Green Bay. Yahoo Sports NFL analyst Jori Epstein questioned whether the midseason staff dismissal will solve Carolina's defensive issues.

Why it matters: Carolina made the staff change following back-to-back losses to alter defensive trajectory during the regular season. Transitioning defensive leadership midstream forces scheme adjustments while managing current personnel through the remainder of the schedule.

What to watch: Carolina prepares to install interim defensive play-calling leadership ahead of its next contest.
