What happened: The Carolina Panthers dismissed defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero following their road trip to Green Bay. The coaching change was finalized after Carolina dropped a 19-27 decision against the Green Bay Packers.

Why it matters: The dismissal alters Carolina's defensive leadership as the organization seeks to reset schematically. Reorganizing the defensive staff addresses persistent execution issues and realigns responsibilities on that side of the ball.

What to watch: The Panthers will transition defensive play-calling responsibilities as they prepare for their upcoming schedule.
