What happened: The Atlanta Falcons announced their inactives for Week 9, listing wide receiver Zachariah Branch, defensive back Robert Longerbeam, and defensive end Drake Jackson. Quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Jack Strand are also inactive for the matchup. Dalton remains in uniform as the designated emergency third quarterback.

Why it matters: Dalton's emergency designation allows Atlanta to keep an extra quarterback available without burning an active gameday roster spot. The move marks the second consecutive game Jack Strand has been held out of action. Jackson sits despite being elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's contest.

What to watch: Atlanta will turn to Dalton under center only if both active quarterbacks sustain in-game injuries.
