What happened: Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels was placed on a stretcher and taken out of the stadium on a medical cart during Sunday's game in Atlanta. Medical staff attended to Daniels after he stayed down following third-quarter head contact while teammates gathered around him on the field.

Why it matters: Atlanta selected the former Oklahoma defender 134th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft and slotted him into the starting lineup alongside fellow rookie Avieon Terrell to open the regular season. Head coach Kevin Stefanski backed Daniels and rookie linebacker Perkins in September after Daniels worked through July calf tendinitis in training camp.

What to watch: The Falcons will issue the next official update on Daniels' status following his evaluation.
