What happened: Bates said Atlanta made a team decision to earn respect back with Sunday's performance. He called it one week and said the group has to stack wins with consistency.

Why it matters: Atlanta entered the weekend at 2-4 after two straight losses, leaving little margin for error. Getting cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. back from injured reserve steadies a secondary that had been short-handed.

What to watch: Atlanta now turns to sustaining that standard into next week and making it two straight.
