What happened: Ferrari pressed for P2 on the second of 56 laps at Circuit of the Americas while running fourth with its trailing car. Both entries settled into third and fourth place by Lap 10 and held those positions to the checkered flag.

Why it matters: The double top-four finish validates the aerodynamic package introduced on Friday after the team missed the top three in Austin qualifying, where the front five were separated by 0.276 seconds. For the same Ferrari program that reached its 250th Formula 1 engine victory earlier in the 2026 campaign, converting second- and third-row starts into podium points keeps both cars competitive in the constructors' chase.

By the numbers: United States GP snapshot: 56 laps at Circuit of the Americas; P4 and P5 starting grid slots; 0.276-second qualifying

What to watch: Ferrari carries its updated four-part aerodynamic specification into the remaining rounds of the 2026 Formula 1 calendar as it seeks to close the qualifying gap to the front row.
