What happened: Matisse Thybulle strip-stole the ball for his third takeaway of Sunday's matchup, igniting a live-ball fast break. Austin Reaves finished the transition chance through contact from Darryn Peterson to earn a free-throw opportunity.

Why it matters: Thybulle opened Sunday's starting unit alongside Reaves, Luka Doncic, Walker Kessler and Williams to supply point-of-attack perimeter defense. Creating live-ball turnovers generates early offense while pressuring Peterson in his opening week as Utah's starting rookie guard.

By the numbers: Thybulle reached three steals during the contest against a lineup featuring Peterson, the No.

What to watch: Both teams continue their opening-week 2026-27 regular-season schedules following Sunday's contest in Salt Lake City.
