What happened: Isack Hadjar finished sixth and Liam Lawson placed ninth for Visa Cash App RB to close out the 56-lap Sunday race in Texas following a Lap 52 Virtual Safety Car period. Behind race winner Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc secured second place after starting fourth, and Max Verstappen took third after lining up second on the grid.

Why it matters: Finishing with two cars inside the top 10 converts a strong weekend for VCARB after Hadjar qualified third on the starting grid behind Antonelli and Verstappen. In the title picture, Antonelli outscored eighth-place teammate George Russell as Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri rounded out the top seven.

By the numbers: United States Grand Prix finishing order (top 10): P1 Kimi Antonelli, P2 Charles Leclerc, P3 Max Verstappen, P4 Lewis Hamilton, P5 Lando Norris, P6 Isack Hadjar, P7 Oscar Piastri, P8 George Russell, P9 Liam Lawson, P10 Pierre Gasly. Qualifying top 5: P1 Antonelli, P2 Verstappen, P3 Hadjar, P4 Leclerc, P5 Hamilton.

What to watch: Formula 1 teams shift focus from Circuit of the Americas to the remaining rounds of the 2026 championship calendar.
