What happened: Philadelphia recalled forward Jacob Gaucher from AHL Lehigh Valley and activated defenseman Cam York off injured reserve. Defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen was placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, retroactive to Oct. 24.

Why it matters: Gaucher returns to the NHL roster after being loaned to the Phantoms on Oct. 25. York's activation puts him back on the blue line as Ristolainen moves to injured reserve.

What to watch: York's return restores a defenseman to the group while Ristolainen is out.
