Flyers' Konecny leads list of possible fits for Blackhawks in trade column

Tippett, York and Ristolainen also named as possible pieces

What happened: The Hockey News argues the Philadelphia Flyers could be a quality trade partner for the Chicago Blackhawks, with forward Travis Konecny the most notable veteran on the list. Owen Tippett, Cam York and Rasmus Ristolainen are named as other Flyers who could surface in trade talk once healthy. Matvei Michkov is also floated as a player Chicago could consider if he becomes available.

Why it matters: The pitch is that Konecny's scoring record and edge could give Connor Bedard another linemate at even strength or on the power play. Chicago is not framed as a buyer, but the column says the team needs something to spark change. On the Flyers' side, young Blackhawks who are not in the long-term plan, such as Kevin Korchinski, could be the return. Keith Jones, the Flyers' president of hockey operations, was also noted among those watching Chicago's game against the Montreal Canadiens last Friday.

What to watch: Columbus visits Philadelphia tonight at 7:00 PM ET, with the Flyers' standing and any trade appetite under watch.
