What happened: Cam York was activated from injured reserve Tuesday after being sidelined with an upper-body designation retroactive to Oct. 8. Dan Vladar gets the nod in goal after recovering from his own preseason upper-body injury on Oct. 10.

Why it matters: Getting York back stabilizes the defensive rotation ahead of consecutive games on the schedule. Vladar, playing in the first year of the five-year, $27.5 million contract he signed on July 1, continues to handle starter duties in the 2026-27 regular season.

What to watch: Wednesday brings the second game of the back-to-back, testing York's workload management and the crease rotation on consecutive nights.
