What happened: Nottingham Forest are preparing a €25m bid for midfielder Davide Frattesi from Inter Milan. The Italian side is reportedly holding out for a €30m fee, creating a significant obstacle in the negotiations.

Why it matters: Forest aim to bolster their squad after a European semi-final run last season. Inter are looking to optimize their championship roster following their 21st Serie A title.

What to watch: Both clubs will continue talks to see if the valuation gap can be bridged. A formal offer is expected shortly.
