What happened: Gavi said Barcelona should not treat the Champions League as "an obsession" and called the club's season "excellent" in comments to Movistar. The midfielder's remarks come after Barcelona's European exit and ahead of Sunday's El Clasico against Real Madrid.

Why it matters: The comments reset the focus around Barcelona's domestic campaign after their Champions League quarter-final elimination to Atletico Madrid. They also land on a high-stakes matchday, with Barcelona in position to turn a strong season into a title-clinching one against their biggest rival.

What to watch: Watch whether Gavi starts in El Clasico and whether Barcelona finish the title race at home. Post-match reaction will indicate whether the club's messaging stays centered on the league or quickly shifts to next season's Champions League push.
