What happened: Colton Herta covered the 100km required in Friday's Brazilian Grand Prix first practice session, earning a Super Licence point. He can now apply for the licence. He also ran FP1 for Cadillac in Mexico, where Haas ran Hirakawa alongside him.

Why it matters: Cadillac had confirmed another FP1 outing for Herta at Interlagos, where he needed one last point. Reaching the distance means the practice-session route has delivered it.

By the numbers: Requirement: 100km in an FP1 session. Reward: one Super Licence point. Venue: Interlagos.

What to watch: Herta can now submit his Super Licence application. No decision date has been reported.
