Hulkenberg to the inside at Turn 19 on Bearman! 🤯🔀 It seems the Haas has some damage in the bargeboard area 👀 #F1 #USG Via @F1 on X

What happened: Hulkenberg moved to the inside of Bearman at Turn 19 on Lap 12 of 56 during the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. The Haas sustained damage in the bargeboard area during the early-stint exchange.

Why it matters: Sidepod and bargeboard bodywork manage airflow across the floor through Austin's high-speed sections, making early aerodynamic damage costly over a 56-lap race distance. The midfield battle followed a difficult recent stretch after Hulkenberg and Bearman were both knocked out in Q2 at the Singapore Grand Prix. Neither driver recovered to crack the top-10 points classification as Kimi Antonelli converted pole position into the victory ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.

By the numbers: Pass timing: Lap 12 of 56 at Turn 19 (Circuit of the Americas). United States GP top five finishers: 1. Kimi Antonelli (started P1), 2. Charles Leclerc (started P4), 3. Lewis Hamilton (started P5), 4. Isack Hadjar (started P3), 5. George Russell; Pierre Gasly claimed the final point in P10.

What to watch: Haas will inspect the damaged bargeboard and floor components ahead of the next round of the 2026 campaign. With Ferrari junior Rafael Camara already signed to a multi-year deal replacing Esteban Ocon for 2027, Bearman and Haas turn to the remaining races of the 2026 schedule.
