What happened: Ja Morant shared a brief, cryptic note on X telling followers to chase their dreams, as speculation builds that the Memphis Grizzlies could move the point guard with the 2026 NBA Draft only days away. The eight-word message gave no direct confirmation of his intentions, but it landed in the middle of mounting trade chatter around the seven-year veteran.

Why it matters: Memphis has already reshaped its roster this offseason, sending Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz and Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic, leaving Morant as the most prominent name still tied to the rebuild conversation. His value is complicated by an injury-shortened 2025-26 season and a reported rift with first-year head coach Tuomas Iisalo, factors that could narrow the field of interested teams.

What to watch: Watch whether the chatter turns into a concrete deal before or during the 2026 NBA Draft, and which contenders are willing to take on Morant's profile. Memphis's next move will signal how fully the franchise intends to reset.
