What happened: Detroit running back Jahmyr Gibbs broke loose for a long touchdown run during Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The scoring play delivered his first gain of 25 or more yards during the 2026 campaign.

Why it matters: Gibbs continues to serve as the engine of Detroit's ground attack following a 2025 campaign where he totaled 1,223 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 17 games. Generating explosive plays on the ground remains pivotal as Detroit navigates a competitive NFC North race.

What to watch: The Lions continue their 2026 regular-season schedule next week.
