What happened: Jayden Daniels has emphasized ball security throughout his second NFL campaign. Through five starts in 2026, the quarterback has completed 91 of 145 passes for 976 yards and six touchdowns while keeping giveaways to a minimum.

Why it matters: Washington drafted Daniels second overall in 2024 to provide steady command and protect possessions in high-leverage moments. Avoiding negative plays remains vital as the offense establishes rhythm against aggressive defensive fronts.

What to watch: Daniels looks to sustain efficient pocket distribution across Washington's upcoming regular-season slate.
