What happened: Jordan Love topped the Week 6 big-time throw rate on Oct. 19 before claiming the overall 2026 regular-season lead in the metric on Thursday, per PFF. The Oct. 21 PFF grading update elevated Love alongside Caleb Williams and C.J. Stroud after an earlier Sept. 30 adjustment had moved him down.

Why it matters: Drafted 26th overall out of Utah State in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Love completed 291 of 439 passes for 3,381 yards with 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions across 15 games in 2025, per ESPN. Sustained downfield accuracy during the 2026 regular season builds on that prior-year production.

What to watch: Regular-season action continues this week with Love holding the top spot in PFF's big-time throw charting.
