What happened: The Clippers and Raptors are closing in on a blockbuster trade that sends Kawhi Leonard back to Toronto. Per ESPN, the package heading to the Clippers includes Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks and additional draft compensation. Both sides are described as nearly finished after talks that began last Thursday and firmed up over the weekend.

Why it matters: A return to Toronto reunites Leonard with the franchise he led to its only championship, and it reshapes both rosters heading into the 2026-27 season. For the Clippers, landing Ingram and Dick plus draft capital signals a pivot away from the Leonard era. The framework follows a stretch of escalating Raptors-Clippers talks that turned serious in recent days.

What to watch: Watch for official confirmation, the completion of physicals and the full list of picks and protections once the deal is finalized.
