What happened: San Francisco beat Los Angeles in Melbourne in the Sept. 10 season opener. The Rams entered with a compressed travel schedule for the Australia trip. Kittle addressed the win during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show.

Why it matters: An opening win gives San Francisco early leverage in the NFC West race. Kittle's availability after positive practices restores a central target for the offense.

What to watch: San Francisco turns to the rest of its regular-season schedule. The rematch with Los Angeles looms larger for divisional tiebreakers.
