What happened: Jude Terry, the 17-year-old LAFC Homegrown midfielder, provided a detailed breakdown of his first professional MLS goal scored against the Portland Timbers. The strike was a curling long-range effort that found the top corner in the 49th minute of play during the Matchday 7 contest.

Why it matters: The goal marked a significant milestone for Terry, who is widely regarded as one of the top young prospects in the league. It earned him MLS Goal of the Matchday honors and solidified his role in the rotation as the club continues its 2026 campaign during the current World Cup hiatus.

By the numbers: Terry has recorded one goal in five appearances and two starts during the 2026 regular season. His first goal was assisted by fellow Homegrown Matt Evans and secured 41% of the fan vote for the weekly league honors.
