What happened: Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report says the 28-year-old free agent is entering his eighth NFL season. White started all 17 games for Las Vegas in 2025 after appearing in seven games for Houston in 2024.

Why it matters: Detroit adds an experienced linebacker before the 2026 preseason. The former Tampa Bay first-round pick earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2020 and made the Pro Bowl in 2021.

By the numbers: White recorded 174 tackles, 2.5 sacks, seven quarterback hits, one interception, three forced fumbles and one pass breakup across 17 starts last season.

What to watch: Contract completion and White's role in Detroit's linebacker rotation are the next developments to watch.
