Good start at home for the @seattlestorm ⛈️ Dominique Malonga drains the first 5 PTS! LAS-SEA | USA Network | 2026 WNB Via @WNBA on X

What happened: Dominique Malonga scored the Seattle Storm's first 5 points to open their 2026 WNBA Commissioner's Cup home game against the Los Angeles Sparks on USA Network. Seattle got off to a strong start in front of its home crowd.

Why it matters: Group-stage results in the Commissioner's Cup shape seeding for the in-season tournament, so fast starts carry weight beyond a single night. Early interior production from Malonga points to Seattle leaning on her scoring as it tries to set the tone against Los Angeles.

What to watch: Watch whether Malonga sustains her early rhythm and how the Sparks adjust after Seattle's opening run.
