What happened: The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded goaltender Joseph Woll and defenseman Simon Benoit to the Philadelphia Flyers. In return, Toronto receives defenseman Emil Andrae, goaltender Samuel Ersson and a 2026 third-round pick.

Why it matters: The deal reshapes both crease pictures, sending Woll to Philadelphia while Ersson heads to Toronto in a goaltending exchange. Adding Benoit and Andrae also reworks each team's defensive depth heading into the upcoming 2025-26 season.
