What happened: Matthew Wood skated with the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday following his acquisition from the Nashville Predators. The forward took the ice alongside head coach Lane Lambert after the clubs finalized a one-for-one swap on Nov. 1.

Why it matters: The move integrates Wood directly into Seattle's forward group after the Kraken sent former fourth overall pick Shane Wright to Nashville. Wood enters the lineup mix as Seattle looks to solidify its offensive depth during the opening month of the 2026-27 NHL regular season.

What to watch: Lambert will determine Wood's immediate deployment and line assignments ahead of Seattle's upcoming regular-season schedule.
