What happened: Fabrizio Romano flagged a new Instagram post from Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe, drawing immediate attention from the club's fan base. The post follows weeks of friction over Mbappe's injury recovery period, including a reported Italy holiday that drew public criticism. Reactions across Real Madrid-focused accounts amplified the moment within minutes of going live.

Why it matters: The timing matters because a vocal segment of supporters has pushed a 'Mbappe Out' narrative, framing his off-pitch choices as out of step with the club's culture. With Mbappe only recently cleared medically and lined up for an El Clasico return, every public gesture is being read as a referendum on his fit at the Bernabeu. The episode keeps the spotlight on a recovery storyline Real Madrid had hoped to close.

What to watch: Watch for an official Real Madrid response or further posts from Mbappe's camp, plus how supporters react at his next Bernabeu appearance. His on-pitch availability and form in the El Clasico window will likely decide whether the noise fades.
