There is #NoTimeLikeOctober Never has been, never will be 😤 Enjoy this TWIB flashback to 1980! @askkaitt has a Wild C Via @MLB on X

What happened: The flashback slots into MLB's #NoTimeLikeOctober postseason programming. The Friday recap will stream on X as the Wild Card round opens the 2026 playoffs.

Why it matters: That gives MLB another postseason window outside the games themselves at the start of October. Using a 1980 archival segment also connects the current bracket to baseball's longer October history.

What to watch: The next scheduled item is Friday's Wild Card recap at 12 p.m. ET on X.
