What happened: Nashville SC striker Sam Surridge earned Michelob Ultra Player of the Matchday honors for MLS Matchday 34 after scoring twice in a 5-2 home win over D.C. United on October 5. His goals came in the 3rd minute and stoppage time, capping a dominant performance. Nashville's attack overwhelmed D.C., with five different scorers contributing.

Why it matters: The win moves Nashville to 47 points, three clear of the Eastern Conference wild card line with four games left, boosting their postseason odds.
