What happened: NBA on Prime begins its 2026-27 regular-season broadcast schedule Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET with an opening-night doubleheader. The two-game slate pairs the New York Knicks against the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets against the San Antonio Spurs.

Why it matters: The matchups feature Jalen Brunson, whose 45 points in Game 5 sealed the NBA Finals, squaring off against Jayson Tatum alongside a Western Conference clash between Kevin Durant and Victor Wembanyama. The twin bill marks the streaming platform's first NBA doubleheader of the 2026-27 regular season.

What to watch: Pregame coverage starts Friday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. ET on Prime ahead of opening tip.
