What happened: Dan Orlovsky pointed to a disconnect between the quarterback Nix is and the quarterback Denver asks him to be. He said the Broncos and Nix have to decide how Nix should play.

Why it matters: Denver kept winning through the passing struggles, with Payton addressing the issues after the Chargers win. The open throws bypassed in the recent loss underscored the timing problems Orlovsky flagged.

What to watch: Denver hosts Seattle on Thursday with both teams in throwback uniforms.
