What happened: Carolina plans to call up cornerback Marco Wilson and offensive lineman Jake Curhan from the practice squad ahead of Thursday night's matchup with Green Bay, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Curhan, a sixth-year pro out of California who signed with the Panthers on Aug. 5, provides depth at both guard and tackle.

Why it matters: Wilson steps into immediate contention for defensive snaps to stabilize a depleted secondary against the Packers' passing attack. The matchup carries early NFC postseason weight, with fourth-seeded Carolina and seventh-seeded Green Bay separated by half a game in the standings.

By the numbers: Carolina sits at 3-3 (L1) after a 43-13 loss on Oct. 25, while Green Bay enters at 4-3 (L1) following a 20-17 defeat on the same day.

What to watch: The Panthers must formally submit their practice-squad elevations to the league transaction wire ahead of Thursday night's kickoff.
