What happened: Green Bay learned Monday morning of Glover's knee injury, adding the right guard to an inactive list that includes Rhyan (high ankle sprain) and Franklin (shin hairline fracture) for Week 8. The Packers also listed wide receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder/foot), defensive linemen Devonte Wyatt (ankle) and Anthony Campbell (ankle), and edge rusher Brenton Cox Jr. (quadricep) as questionable. Carolina ruled out four players of its own, including starting edge defender Jaelan Phillips and starting guard Damien Lewis, after placing right tackle Taylor Moton (lower leg) on injured reserve Monday.

Why it matters: Both clubs enter Thursday Night Football trying to snap one-game losing streaks, with 4-3 Green Bay holding the NFC's No. 7 seed and 3-3 Carolina sitting in the No. 4 spot. With Rhyan expected to miss at least a month and Glover sidelined, the Packers will rely on veteran acquisition Kevin Zeitler to stabilize the interior offensive line. Carolina faces steep attrition across both trenches, missing two starting offensive linemen alongside Phillips on the defensive edge.

By the numbers: Green Bay (4-3, NFC seed No. 7) ruled out three starters and listed four players as questionable, while Carolina (3-3, NFC seed No. 4) ruled out four players plus one starter on injured reserve. The Packers plan to deactivate three offensive linemen, Franklin, and running back Kaleb Johnson to trim their 53-man roster to the 48-man game-day limit.

What to watch: If any of Green Bay's four questionable players—Golden, Wyatt, Campbell, or Cox—are unable to play Thursday, the Packers may need to elevate reinforcements from the practice squad to fill out their game-day lineup.
