What happened: The injury occurred during Wednesday’s 7-on-7 drill, after which Brazzell could not put weight on his left foot and was helped to a cart. Adam Schefter said the decision followed a second opinion and prioritizes Brazzell’s future.

Why it matters: Carolina has lost Brazzell and second-year edge Nic Scourton for the 2026 season during the opening stretch of camp. The receiver room is thin beyond Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, while starting tackles Taylor Moton and Ikem Ekwonu are expected to miss the season opener.

What to watch: Watch whether Carolina adds a receiver before the preseason and how camp snaps are divided behind McMillan and Coker.
