What happened: The Pittsburgh Penguins travel to face Montreal on Saturday night for a scheduled Halloween matchup. Both clubs prepared for the inter-conference meeting following Pittsburgh's arrival in Montreal earlier in the day.

Why it matters: Montreal returns to home ice following early-season action where Montreal tied the Sabres 1-1 on a first-period power play earlier in the month. The game presents an early test for both sides navigating their October schedules in the 2026-27 NHL regular season.

What to watch: Puck drop is scheduled for Saturday evening in Montreal.
