What happened: Petey Halpin tracked a deep drive to the outfield wall and held on through contact with the barrier to retire Junior Caminero during ALCS play. The catch took away an extra-base hit in the postseason matchup.

Why it matters: Defensive outs at the wall carry outsized weight in a tight Championship Series with a World Series berth on the line. Halpin, who credited team belief for his fearless approach earlier in the series, has contributed on both sides of the ball this October after delivering a two-run go-ahead home run in the fifth inning of Game 2.

What to watch: Halpin and Caminero continue their postseason series as the American League pennant race plays out.
