What happened: Cam Ward fills PFF's quarterback slot, while Matthew Golden is the wide receiver selection. The projection points to larger production during the upcoming 2026 season.

Why it matters: Ward's late-season improvement provides a statistical basis for his inclusion. Golden enters Year 2 with room to turn modest rookie efficiency into greater impact.

By the numbers: Ward earned a 58.4 overall PFF grade in 2025, ranking 39th among 43 qualified quarterbacks, but posted a grade of at least 78.7 three times from Week 12 onward. Golden recorded a 72.7 receiving grade and 1.53 yards per route run.

What to watch: Training-camp roles and preseason usage will provide the first tests of both projections.
