What happened: The Las Vegas Raiders signed tight end Carter Runyon to their practice squad and released wide receiver Phillip Dorsett in a corresponding transaction. Runyon returns to the organization after being waived from the active roster one day earlier.

Why it matters: The move maintains depth at the tight end position with a familiar second-year player out of Towson. Dorsett was let go to make room on the practice squad as the team adjusts its reserve roster.

By the numbers: Runyon caught 1 pass for 3 yards in 13 games last season (2025) with the Raiders.

What to watch: Runyon will resume practice squad duties as the Raiders prepare for their next regular-season contest.
