What happened: Baltimore puts the league's top-defender tag on Kyle Hamilton during the 2026 regular season. The Notre Dame product entered the league as the 14th overall pick in 2022 and played 16 games in 2025.

Why it matters: The tag tracks a 2025 season with 105 tackles and one sack. That production underpins why the safety who topped PFF's 2026 safety rankings draws top-defender billing.

By the numbers: Kyle Hamilton (2025, 16 games): 105 tackles, 1 sack; drafted 14th overall in 2022 out of Notre Dame.

What to watch: Watch whether Hamilton stacks more playmaking moments as Baltimore's 2026 regular season continues.
