What happened: Seattle waived the third-year interior lineman on Oct. 27 to clear a 53-man roster spot after acquiring All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson, per Adam Schefter. Prior to the transaction, Haynes had stepped into the Seahawks' starting lineup in September when injuries depleted Seattle's offensive front.

Why it matters: Awarded the claim ahead of November's trade deadline, Baltimore absorbs the remainder of Haynes' 2024 third-round rookie contract to bolster its interior depth. Securing him off the wire also prevented other potential suitors with local ties, including Washington, from signing him as a free agent, per Ben Standig.

What to watch: Baltimore will integrate Haynes into practice under head coach Jesse Minter's staff this week ahead of Sunday's regular-season action.
