What happened: AS Roma has initiated contact with AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic, who has emerged as a primary target for head coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The American international is reportedly unsettled at Milan following a management overhaul and the club's failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Why it matters: Roma's third-place finish secures a return to the Champions League, providing them a competitive edge over Milan, who finished fifth. With a reported €100 million transfer budget, Roma is positioning Pulisic as the centerpiece of an attack that already includes Donyell Malen as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.

What to watch: Pulisic remains focused on the 2026 World Cup with the USMNT, but formal negotiations are expected to accelerate once the tournament concludes.
