What happened: Roman Reigns remained World Heavyweight Champion with a win over Jacob Fatu in the main event of WWE Backlash on Saturday, May 9, according to ESPN's post-event signal. Backlash was held in Tampa, Florida, after days of promotion around the family title clash.

Why it matters: The result extends Reigns' fresh title run after WWE had billed him as champion coming out of WrestleMania. It also stalls the push of Jacob Fatu, who had vowed to go through Roman Reigns at Backlash, keeping the family feud alive around WWE's top men's title.

What to watch: Watch for WWE's next storyline fallout on Raw and whether Fatu gets another path back to Reigns. The next key development is whether this closes the feud or sets up a rematch.
