What happened: Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is expected to return to practice Thursday and is in line to play Monday against the Dallas Cowboys, per Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport. His return reinforces an Eagles backfield that has been banged up entering the week.

Why it matters: Getting Barkley back on the field gives Philadelphia its primary ball-carrier ahead of a division matchup with Dallas. His availability also settles the Eagles' backfield rotation with the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline approaching.

What to watch: Monitor Philadelphia's Thursday practice participation designations to see whether Barkley logs a limited or full session ahead of Monday's game against Dallas.
