What happened: Charbonnet cleared his final recovery hurdle on Thursday, per Adam Schefter, after returning to full practice participation for Seattle. On the same day, Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo underwent shoulder surgery that ends his 2026 season, per Schefter.

Why it matters: The roster swap reshapes offensive personnel for the 3-3 Seahawks ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. Charbonnet, a 2023 second-round pick (52nd overall out of UCLA), rejoins the backfield rotation just as Seattle loses Arroyo, its 2025 second-round selection (50th overall out of Miami), from the tight end room.

By the numbers: Per ESPN (as of Sept. 29, 2026), Charbonnet rushed 184 times for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns across 16 games with the Seahawks in 2025, while Arroyo caught 15 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown in 13 games during the 2025 season.

What to watch: Charbonnet is eligible to make his 2026 regular-season debut in Seattle's next game as the Seahawks adjust their tight end depth chart without Arroyo.
