JSN has been on a crazy run to start this season 😳 @Seahawks CHIvsSEA – Monday 8:15pm ET on ESPN Stream on @NFLPlus htt Via @NFL on X

What happened: Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the only player since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger to compile at least 825 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns over the first seven weeks of a season, per PFF. Seattle brings a 4-3 record into its matchup against Chicago following a 20-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 25.

Why it matters: Smith-Njigba is delivering immediate returns on the four-year, $168.6 million extension he agreed to with Seattle in March. Currently holding the No. 8 seed in the NFC, the Seahawks also reinforced their offensive line ahead of Week 8 by acquiring six-time All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson from Indianapolis.

By the numbers: Smith-Njigba through Week 7: 825 receiving yards, 8 receiving TDs. Seattle Seahawks: 4-3 record, No. 8 seed, W1 streak after defeating Kansas City 20-3.

What to watch: Seattle plays Chicago on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
