What happened: Terron Armstead said on NFL on CBS that newly acquired Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Quenton Nelson "adds a level of impact and playmaking" on par with wideout JSN. Seattle finalized the trade with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday to bring in the eight-time Pro Bowler following Sunday's 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Why it matters: The acquisition addresses an interior run-blocking need for a Seattle offense averaging 2.75 yards per carry on rushes aimed at the left B-gap. Adding a premier veteran at left guard fortifies the offensive front for a 4-3 club holding the No. 8 seed in the NFC.

By the numbers: Nelson carries an 85.7 PFF grade, ranking second among all NFL guards this season, while Indianapolis sits at 2-5. JSN paces the league with 867 receiving yards, 231 ahead of second-place Chris Olave (636).

What to watch: Seattle remains a candidate to make additional moves before the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
