What happened: Liverpool head coach Arne Slot publicly stated he has 'every reason to believe' he will remain in charge next season, per Fabrizio Romano. Slot added that plans for the upcoming campaign are already in motion and that he is directly involved in ongoing talks between the club and prospective new signings.

Why it matters: The remarks land amid a stretch of scrutiny around Slot's tenure, with recent results and squad noise fueling speculation about his future. A public vote of self-confidence from the manager — paired with his involvement in transfer planning — points to internal alignment between Slot and the club's hierarchy heading into a pivotal summer window.

What to watch: Watch for club-side confirmation of Slot's status and the first concrete signings tied to his stated planning. Any divergence between Slot's public position and ownership messaging would re-open the future-of-the-manager storyline.
