What happened: Stephen Curry has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to injury management. Curry will sit out the opening contest of Golden State's back-to-back schedule.

Why it matters: Golden State faces a compressed schedule early in the season, prioritizing long-term health for the 38-year-old guard. His absence shifts perimeter shot creation and primary playmaking responsibilities across the rotation.

What to watch: Golden State concludes the back-to-back set on Monday, when Curry could be evaluated for a return to the lineup.
