What happened: Kyle Stowers launched a 425-foot home run to extend the Miami Marlins' lead to 7-0 during their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The blast marked Stowers' fifth home run of the 2026 season as Miami's offense continued its explosive production at loanDepot park.

Why it matters: The Marlins' offensive outburst underscores a significant mid-season turnaround, as the team has averaged seven runs per game over the first two contests of the series. Stowers' power surge is a vital development for a Miami lineup looking to climb the NL East standings after his return from the injured list in April.

By the numbers: Stowers: 5th HR of season (425 ft). Miami: 14 runs through first 13 innings of series. Series score: 7-0 (Game 2).

What to watch: The Marlins look to complete the series sweep against Arizona tomorrow as their bats remain hot.
