What happened: Kyle Stowers hit a 416-foot home run over the centerfield fence against right-hander George Kirby. The drive recorded an exit velocity of 105.4 mph and gave Miami a 1-0 advantage in the bottom of the second inning.

Why it matters: The swing underscores a steady increase in power production for the outfielder to open the month.

What to watch: Miami continues the matchup against Seattle as Stowers looks to maintain his midsummer offensive momentum.
